Some meetings are planned.
Some are routine.
And then there are the meetings that remind you why networking is a superpower.
Alhamdulillah — today I had the honour of meeting Sir Azam Jamil, a visionary whose work in leadership, discipline, youth development, and societal betterment has impacted thousands across Pakistan. For someone like me, building a journey in E-Commerce, Marketing, Influence, and Youth Empowerment, this connection felt incredibly significant.
It wasn’t just a meeting.
It was a lesson.
A reminder.
A shift.
Networking That Feels Like Growth, Not Transaction
In today’s world, networking is often misunderstood.
People chase contacts, not connections.
Cards, not conversations.
Visibility, not value.
But this meeting reinforced what I deeply believe:
“Real networking is when two people meet and walk away better than they arrived.”
The conversation with Sir Azam Jamil was exactly that — pure value.
We spoke about:
- leadership in a distracted generation
- the discipline gap among youth
- how emotional stability shapes success
- the responsibility that comes with influence
- why impact matters more than popularity
It wasn’t business talk.
It wasn’t surface-level.
It was purpose-driven dialogue.
Why This Networking Moment Matters in My Journey
As Baseerat Awan, someone working to empower youth, build digital entrepreneurs, and shift mindsets, this meeting aligned perfectly with my mission.
Networking with industry giants like Sir Azam Jamil is not about exposure —
it’s about elevation.
It teaches you:
- how leaders think
- what principles guide their decisions
- how they lead without shouting
- how they influence through character, not followers
These are lessons no course or book can teach.
Respect, Wisdom & Real Alignment
What touched me deeply was the humility and respect with which Sir Azam Jamil engaged. For someone so accomplished, he makes you feel seen, heard, and valued.
We exchanged ideas, perspectives, and experiences — not to impress, but to grow.
As he said during our conversation:
“Your network should not be your net worth — it should be your net growth.”
A line worth remembering.
Networking That Strengthens Purpose
This meeting didn’t just “add a contact to my list.”
It strengthened my mission.
It reminded me why I am building:
- a community
- a digital ecosystem
- training initiatives
- opportunities for underprivileged students
- a generation of entrepreneurs with clarity and confidence
Networking is not about who you meet.
It’s about who you become because of those meetings.
Closing Reflection
Alhamdulillah for connections that inspire.
Alhamdulillah for conversations that elevate.
Alhamdulillah for leaders who guide without needing to be asked.
Some meetings leave a mark.
Some change direction.
This one did both.
This is networking with purpose —
and this is just the beginning.
